The Plein Air Paintout at Indian Springs School during the month of February was a cold day; however, the sun was out and we had a wonderful time at the paintout, especially if sitting in the sun. This painting of the lake was started as a study at that paintout and completed back in the studio. Because I felt Spring in the air as I completed the painting, I utilized my artistic license to make the painting Springtime which was more to my desire for the finished artwork.
"Pretty is Red" is a small 4"x6" painting on 1 3/8" gallery canvas. This painting can be hung on the wall, displayed in a bookcase or placed on a small easel. As Spring time approaches in the Southern States, we are reminded of the beautiful flowers which will be displayed for our joy all year long.
Tulips in the springtime are always a joy to see after the snow and ice storms have passed away. This small painting 4"x6" is on gallery canvas which needs no framing and it can sit on desk or self. It can also be hung or placed on small easel.
Purple Delight is a small 4"x6" painting on 1 3/8" gallery canvas and it is wonderful to give as a gift. It can be hung or simply placed on shelf or desk to enjoy. It also looks nice on small easel. It is impressive flower because I don't know if it really is a flower; however, I received lots of fun creating the small work.
Pink and white dogwoods are bringing beautiful blessings just before Easter Holidays. This is a small painting on gallery canvas and can be placed on desk or hung in small place or hung with grouping in larger place. There is no need to frame the painting which is 4"x6" x 1 3/8".
This is my most recent acrylic painting completed and I titled it "Church Memories". Sometimes when we are unable to attend church, especially during weekdays, our church memories bring us closer to God and help us realize our blessings for thankgiving.
This Brookside Russian Orthodox Church is only of few miles from our home and I am certain those who have attended have marvelous memories.
I hold my childhood, youth and adult memories as special life events which often sustain me for periods; however, my current spiritual and personal relations with God are most important.
