Award Winning Painting and the "Warm Feeling"

My painting "Barge on the Black Warrior River" won First Place in Acrylic/Oil category at the Hoover Shelby Art Association last week.  Even though I have been published, had other awards, especially in photography, this award was the thrill of my painting career because I was competing against my fellow artists friends and my own photography.

Many times the works of my fellow artist or my own photography won the first place and this time I felt that I did it!  When we compete against our own work whether it be paintings or photography to know which artwork the judge selected as best work gives us a "Warm feeling". Thank you to all judges of artwork, especially the won who selected this artworkand she had great qualifications as judge of artwork.

By the way, what artists does not enjoy the "Warm feeling"

We get so many "warm feelings" as we continue to grow and create art.

Now I must get busy and create art and earn myself another "Warm feeling:
