October 5 2014 to be in Leeds, Alabama on Sunday Afternoon to see this and my other paintings.

My Solo Exhibit Reception will be Sunday October 5, 2014 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.  You are invited!!!

This painting of Leeds Main Street has been a real joy to paint. The whole month of October the gallery will be open to the public on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The Leeds Theatre and Arts Center is located  on main street US Hwy 78.  In this painting, it is the building on the right side.  Both parking and admission will be free.  I should be be a great afternoon to enjoy Leeds and My Art Show, maybe art or other shopping nearby. 

The city streets of Leeds are very colorful with the containers of rose bushes, the hanging baskets and the flags on light poles.  My Atelier Interactive Acrylics just bounced from the pallet as I selected and mixed colors. These are a very high quality of paints almost like utilizing oil paints.  The painting is completed with UV Archival matte varnish to provide many years of joy.

It is wonderful to get lost in the artist world and create for yourself.  Oh such detail; however, I attempted to keep much of the painting loose.  Not just photography, I could have just utilized my wonderful camera which would have been much quicker.  It certainly would not have been the same pleasure for myself or possibly you, a collector.

Be sure to watch for other paintings, especially the Leeds Depot to be posted in the next few weeks.  You will be able to purchase this artwork effective October 5, 2014.
